Sprint for football help????????

well, i came in late for football (1 week). and my sprints are realy slow, im starting to let ppl down, i need any way possible to increase my speed, fatigue, and breathing. any foods i should be eating? any exersizes please!? i just need to be in the middle of the pack, i dont need to be extraordinary. thanks in advance!
